Bamara has proudly been awarded the Excellence in Diversity & Inclusion Award at the Dubbo Business Chamber’s 2024 Rhino Awards.

This award recognises businesses that address the needs of a diverse community, including seniors, people from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds, and people with disability.

This prestigious award profoundly recognises Bamara’s commitment to fostering an environment where everyone feels valued and empowered.

This achievement could not have happened without our dedicated staff across the who deliver a range of services across the Dubbo community including NDIS Disability Support Services, Driver Licensing Access Program (DLAP), Dubbo Opportunity Hub (DHUB) and Australian Apprenticeship Support Services as a First Nations Specialist Provider.

They have championed these values in their daily interactions, and it is a testament to their dedication to creating a workplace that celebrates differences and promotes equity.

Accepting the award on behalf of Bamara was NDIS Operations Manager Simone Deveigne, who highlighted the collective effort of the entire Bamara team and the impact their work has on the community.

“I am truly blessed to be able to work with a wonderful team. Their dedication to our participants and families is inspiring,” said Simone.

“I would like to acknowledge our participants, who we love, as we wouldn’t be standing here without them.

“Our name, Bamara, means Helper, Friend, Companion; that is the footprint we want to leave in our community.”

Recognition of this award emphasises the importance of inclusivity as a driving force behind our success, highlighting how our collective efforts contribute to a richer, more innovative, and happier workplace.

Thank you to the Dubbo Business Chamber for organising these fantastic awards and we congratulate all the winners and finalists making significant contributions to the local business community.
