With COVID restrictions forcing several postponements to NAIDOC events throughout 2021, it was with great excitement that our DHUB team got involved for the Dubbo Community NAIDOC Ball 2021, held at the Dubbo RSL Club on Wiradjuri Country.
Events like these are a fantastic way to celebrate the history, culture, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Our DHUB team chipped in to sponsor the Youth Sportsperson of the year (Under 18 years old), and congratulations to the winner, Saxby Shaw and runner up Simon Morgan.
We also had the pleasure of designing the ball’s table decorations, inspired by the theme for NAIDOC Week, Heal Country.
We want to congratulate all award winners on the night and thank the tireless work of our friends at the Dubbo Aboriginal Community Working Party and the Dubbo Koori Interagency for collaborating throughout the 2021 NAIDOC Week events and activities.
