Bamara has been working alongside Martyr Training Services to create a one-stop-shop approach to job-readiness, making it easier for participants to access the skills and qualifications they need to succeed.
Martyr Training Services, a local Registered Training Organisation across the North West Queensland region, have partnered with Bamara to provide tailored training packages to our Workforce Australia Services, Parent Pathways, and Inclusive Employment Australia participants across the Mount Isa region.
The Mount Isa team has worked closely with Martyr Training Services over time, regularly connecting to organise training, tickets, and licences that support participants on their employment journey.
Building on this strong relationship, a new opportunity emerged to create something more impactful for participants.
In February 2026, Steven, Mount Isa’s Regional Team Leader, connected with Lorena, Managing Director at Martyr Training Services, to explore training opportunities. Through this collaboration, they developed a series of targeted training bundles designed to align with employment pathways and local industry needs.
These bundles span a range of key industries, including civil and construction, mining, transport, and hospitality, among others. Each package has been created to provide participants with the essential skills, knowledge, and nationally recognised qualifications required to enter the workforce with confidence.
Since February 2026, approximately 12 participants have already commenced training through these packages, gaining valuable skills and progressing toward meaningful careers.
An example of the success of this initiative is one of our hard-working participants, Eric who connected with Bamara through Workforce Australia Services.
In March 2026, Eric completed the Civil Construction Training Program through Martyr Training Services, gaining a suite of new skills and qualifications to support his pathway into the civil construction industry.
As Eric had already attained his White Card, the program was tailored to focus on additional skills and certifications he had not yet achieved. This created a valuable and targeted learning experience that built on his existing knowledge and further strengthened his job readiness.
With strong interest, this number is expected to grow as more participants take advantage of these tailored pathways.
