On July 26, our NDIS team and 12 excited participants travelled by bus from Dubbo to Canberra for a thrilling weekend getaway.

The Saturday started off with the team and participants venturing into the cold at Corin Forest, where they had an absolute ball in the snow.

They played in the snow for hours, building snow-people, riding the toboggans, and battling one another in a snowball fight.

The next day, they visited Questacon, the National Science and Technology Centre. There were plenty of exhibits for the participants to interact with and learn something new. They got to check out the Earthquake house, the Caged Lightning exhibit, and the new LEGO exhibit, a fan favourite for the day.

The LEGO exhibit got everyone together to build their own square as a part of a collaborative mural to be displayed in the exhibit. They followed a guide for putting each square together and added it to the mystery mosaic, which will come together to create a colourful image.

On their way back from Questacon, they took a pitstop at Westfield for a bite to eat and some shopping.

Returning from the shops, the crew caught a glimpse of the Parliament House, home to the Prime Minister. Everyone had fun posing out front of the iconic building, taking plenty of pictures, and playing in the grass outside.

The trip was jam-packed with activities and excitement for participants and our team alike—a huge thank you to our support team for all your hard work in getting this trip together. Looking forward to the next big adventure!
