What is School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES)?

School Leaver Employment Supports (SLES) provides a pathway to help young school leavers transition from school to employment, which is available for up to two years.

We help participants kickstart their career goals through tailored activities and building up relevant job skills, confidence, and independence matched to their needs.

It’s tailored to suit you and your employment goals, so that you can learn the skills you need prior to entering the workforce.

Who is it for?

School Leaver Employment Supports is for any young person with disability who’s left school within the last two years under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

How we can support you

We support you as you prepare, look for, and gain employment. There’s a huge range of skills you can learn so you feel job-ready, including:

  • Improving your communication skills for work and customers.

  • Building foundations skills such as time management.
  • Succeeding with your job search, and preparing a resume.
  • Organising work experience in an inclusive environment.
  • Continuous support and mentoring while at work.

If there is something in particular you’d like to learn, just let us know and we’ll find a way to help.
