What is ParentsNext?
ParentsNext is a government program that provides assistance to parents and carers who receive Parenting Payments to help them prepare for future stages in their lives.
As a provider of ParentsNext, Bamara are here to help you reach your goals, whether they are career-driven or family-focused.
We listen to what matters most to you and your family, and engage with all our participants in a culturally respectful and informed way.
Engagement Support Vouchers now available
We’re now offering Engagement Support vouchers when you attend a face-to-face* appointment with us. Our team will chat with you about suitable in-store gift cards to help with everyday costs, including fuel, bills, and groceries.
The Engagement Support Vouchers are limited up to $250 per participant.
$100 instore voucher
Available to new participants of the ParentsNext Program who register and attend their first face-to-face appointment with Bamara.
$50 instore voucher
Available to existing participants of the ParentsNext Program who attend ongoing face-to-face appointments with Bamara.

Eligibility
A person can volunteer to participate in ParentsNext if they:
- Reside in a Bamara ParentsNext Employment Region
- Are receiving a Parenting Payment, and
- Have a youngest child under 6 years of age.

Our team of experienced Support Mentors is dedicated to providing individualised support to help you achieve your goals.
We are here to support you throughout your ParentsNext journey and ensure that you have the right information and resources every step of the way.
Your Support Mentor will help you understand your goals and find the best and most realistic way to achieve them.
Our team will then create a personalised Participation Plan to support you, give your family peace of mind, and help you access the activities and support services necessary to achieve your goals.
We can provide the support and motivation you need to:
- Identify education, training and employment opportunities.
- Gain a qualification for the career you want.
- Make the most of your tailored Participation Plan to reach your goals.
- Develop practical skills for employment and job searching (if finding work is one of your goals).
- Start driving lessons and get a driver licence.
- Apply for an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check.
- Access work related pre-employment training and licenses such as First Aid training and white cards.
We can also help you access local activities, support services and funds for:
- Personal or financial counselling.
- Domestic and family violence services.
- Parents groups or parenting courses.
- Study, training and work expenses such as laptops, phones, tools, internet access and workwear.
- Courses for improving language, literacy, and numeracy skills.
- Housing and transport needs.
- Child care and health services.
