How to apply for the NDIS
The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) assesses whether you’re eligible to become an NDIS participant and, if so, how much funding you’ll receive. If you think you, a family member, or a loved one are eligible, Bamara can help you apply using the below process.
1. Check your eligibility
Visit the NDIS Website, call 1800 800 110 or email enquiries@ndis.gov.au to find out if you’re eligible for the NDIS.
2. Make an Access Request
You can make a Verbal Access Request (VAR) or fill out an Access Request Form (ARF). You can do this by phone, email, or at an NDIS or Local Area Coordinator (LAC) office.
3. Get your access decision
The NDIA will write to you to confirm your eligibility for the NDIS. If you’re eligible, you’ll be contacted to arrange a planning meeting.
4. Plan your support with us
Contact us and we’ll work with you to plan and provide your NDIS supports, so you can live the life you want.
